2022 Event Details

The Lunar New Year, most commonly associated with the Chinese New Year or Spring Festival, typically falls sometime between January 21 and February 20 annually. Lunar New Year 2022 is on February 1, and this year it is the Year of the Tiger. In addition to being observed in China, it is celebrated throughout Asia, including South Korea and Singapore. In Vietnam, Lunar New Year is known as Tết. In the U.S., though, it is most commonly associated with what is often called Chinese New Year.
