The Lunar New Year, most commonly associated with the Chinese New Year or Spring Festival, typically falls sometime between January 21 and February 20 annually. Lunar New Year 2022 is on February 1, and this year it is the Year of the Tiger. In addition to being observed in China, it is celebrated throughout Asia, including South Korea and Singapore. In Vietnam, Lunar New Year is known as Tết. In the U.S., though, it is most commonly associated with what is often called Chinese New Year. Join us in a Virtual Lunar New Year Celebration for 2022!

Be part of the Lunar New Year celebration by participating with us! Join us in creating fun crafts and learn about the significance of the Year of the Tiger, create your own origami, and try out some cultural snacks along with our presenters and MC's of the night! After you register for the event, you will be instructed to pickup a gift bag with all the supplies and necessary items you'll need to participate throughout the night. But hurry - if you would like to be part of the action, gift bags are first come, first serve! Make sure to register for the event at the link above to claim your gift bag!

Be sure not to open the gift bag until instructed to do so during the virtual event! Participants will be given instructions on how to pick up their gift bags after registering for the event. Pickup locations include the Berkeley Heights YMCA and two other local areas pick up days are on Thursday, February 3 or Friday, February 4.
