The Berkeley Heights Diversity Council invites the community to “Beyond the March” an open Listening Session.  Please join together with other members of the community to hear and share views of how to continue to make Berkeley Heights more inclusive and welcoming at this critical point in our nation’s history.  A “Listening Session” is meant as a community brainstorming session, a time to raise concerns and to hear ideas to help ensure that Berkeley Heights becomes increasingly inclusive and welcoming to all.

The Listening Session will be held as a virtual gathering on Zoom on Thursday, June 18 at 7pm.  To join the conversation, please email the Berkeley Heights Diversity Council (BHDiversity@gmail.com) to receive the zoom link.

On Sunday, June 7, thousands came together in Berkeley Heights in unity and solidarity to stand up for equality - ‘Berkeley Heights March for Black Lives”.   It was a peaceful day marking a “movement not a moment”.    This Listening Session will continue the momentum, ensuring residents have an opportunity to share their views on how to continue this movement in Berkeley Heights.  This process will continue well beyond this listening session.  Please join if you are able and all are invited to reach out to the Berkeley Heights Diversity Council with any ideas, concerns or issues.  One logistical note - zoom places an attendance restriction of 100 participants on the session, so the Listening Session will be limited to the first 100 attendees, with a plan to host additional sessions as needed.
