COVID Community Harmony

Updated: Mar 21, 2021

In Berkeley Heights, we stand together with kindness and compassion during challenging times.

Our town, our state and our country are facing unprecedented challenges; the COVID-19 global pandemic has created new levels of uncertainty, anxiety and deep levels of sorrow as we face new challenges daily.   It’s deeply personal as we are all literally separated from most if not all friends and family for a prolonged time.

Difficult times bring out the best and the worst in people. In our demeanor, our speech, our behavior - we can be quicker to judge and condemn in these times of stress and uncertainty. These times thankfully also bring out the best in our community, as people join together to help those in need - by supporting, feeding, and sometimes, just by smiling and laughing over Zoom.

It is in these difficult times, that we need to remember to show kindness and compassion as one community.  We must remember that “We Stand Together In Berkeley Heights”.

Berkeley Heights has always been, and must remain, a welcoming community.  A community based in kindness and acceptance. A community of differences joining together to support each other.  We encourage everyone to remember to be kind and generous as we travel through these uncharted times together.

The Berkeley Heights Diversity Council was founded to honor and embrace the diverse cultures and perspectives within Berkeley Heights. Our goal is to spread awareness and inclusion.

The BHDC is open and welcoming to all who reside in Berkeley Heights wishing to celebrate the diversity of our great town together.
