The Berkeley Heights Diversity Council along with the Wells Fargo Branch in New Providence is proud to sponsor a 2018 National Night Out Essay and Art contest in celebration of the 2018 National Night Out on August 7th in Berkeley Heights
Essay and Art Contest Theme:
Submitted original art pieces from any medium will be accepted and should address the theme “Beauty in Diversity.”
Submitted original essays should be at least 300 words and address the question “What does diversity and inclusion mean to you and how does it benefit our community of Berkeley Heights?”
First and second place winners for each category will be chosen to receive cash prizes.
Rules:
All artwork and essays must be original work
Open to students in the 2nd to 8th grade
Entrants must be a student or resident of Berkeley Heights
Please label your work on a separate sheet with your name, grade and a contact telephone number
All entries must be received by 12:00 pm ET on August 12, 2018
Prizes:
First Place Prize: $75 cash
Second Place Prize: $50 cash
How to Enter:
Entries will be accepted at the Berkeley Heights YMCA located at 550 Springfield Avenue or while visiting our table at the 2018 National Night Out Event on August 7, 2018.
Come visit us at our table at National Night Out for a chance to win prizes and participate in an interactive art display.
All entries must be received by 12:00 pm ET on Sunday, August 12, 2018. Winners will be announced on September 10.
