Berkeley Heights March for Black Lives, Sunday, June 7, 2020

Updated: Oct 11, 2020

The Berkeley Heights Diversity Council, working with community activist leaders, will participate in Berkeley Heights March for Black Lives on Sunday, June 7, 2020.

On Sunday, our beautiful Berkeley Heights community will come together in unity and solidarity to stand up for equality - “Berkeley Heights March for Black Lives”

There will be a peaceful march with community members, leaders, the diversity council and the Berkeley Heights Police to commemorate the lives lost to injustices, speakers from our Berkeley Heights youth and African American community and then we will kneel for 8-minutes and 46-seconds to honor black lives lost.  This event is not anti-police.

The march will begin at the new YMCA (59 Locust Ave) at 12 noon and will march 2.1 miles to Memorial Field. Those not able to march can gather at Memorial Field.

Please bring masks, hand sanitizer and posters.  Please abide by social distancing rules.

Join as a community as we March For Black Lives in Berkeley Heights together. One Community. Together.
